What are the dates and times for the 2020 conference?

Registration: 8.30am Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th May 2020.
Presentations.  9am start, for an estimated finish time of 6pm (Monday) and 5pm (Tuesday)

Would you like to be considered for a 15-20 minute presentation?

Please submit your abstract here.

What is the cost of attending?

You can choose to attend for one, or both days of the conference, at a cost from $220 AUD per person, per day.  
Students may register for a special discounted rate of from $175/day.
The conference dinner on Monday 4th May is an optional extra at $100 AUD/head, and takes place at Ripples Restaurant, Chowder Bay.
​Parking is available in the Zoo carpark at a cost of $18 AUD per day.

What is included in my registration?

​Zoo admission, lecture attendance, Tea & Coffee on arrival, Morning Tea, Hot Gourmet Lunch, soft drinks/juices, and Afternoon Tea. You'll be issued with a conference lanyard and a zoo entry wristband when you arrive. 

How do I get there?

Please see the "getting there" page on this website.   If coming by Ferry, a bus will collect you and deliver to you to the zoo entrance.  The Taronga Centre is around a 5 minute walk from the zoo entrance, either through the zoo, or directly down Bradleys Head Rd.  

What accommodation is nearby?

There are 2 reasonably priced hotels in Cremorne, which is a short bus or taxi ride to the Zoo entrance.
1) Park Regis Concierge Apartments: From around $150/night, on the main road of Cremorne (Military Rd).
2) Cremorne Point Manor: Single Ensuite Rooms start from $99 (early bird). 

At Mosman, the boutique Albert Hotel has recently opened, with early bird rooms from around $224 including breakfast.

If choosing to stay in the city,  accommodation close to Circular Quay or the Rocks would be is quickest for zoo transfers.  A selection of city hotels can be compared via Booking.com.

Can I arrange to meet the speakers to ask my own questions?

Please let us know if you need time to ask our speakers any questions of your own, and we'll contact you to schedule it.

I have special dietary requirements.

No problem, let us know when registering and we'll be in touch to arrange your meals.

Is there a maximum number of attendees?

We are likely to cap attendance at 110 persons, including speakers and our staff.

How do I pay for my registration?

Registration can be paid online via Eventbrite

Will I get time to see any of the zoo?

We'll schedule some time to allow you to explore Taronga's beautiful grounds & inhabitants.  Your zoo entry is included in your registration.
